In St trinnians independence is shown in the girls boarding school were the girls follow their own rules and make money by producing gin and other products.

*In St trinians you can see that the older girls have more power over the younger girls and almost all the students in the school have power over the teachers, the older school girls lock the younger girls in their dorm and make a barricade to stop teachers from helping unlock the horse and the younger girls set up traps for teachers.
In PTP age is represented that children have no choice in matters for example when Pimlico became its own area of Britian the children have to leave Pimlico and the adults can stay.

* Education in PTP is shown as importance as the children have to leave Pimlico into Britian to be able to go to school, yet in St Trinians its shown that the girls don't learn normal skills in lessons they make gin and attack other schools hockey tournaments, With the boarding school it requires uniforms.
