- This scene represents the children as being mischievous and rebellious e.g. the 2 kids run away from the principals office
- Will is very religious - runs away and prays to god after getting into trouble - contrasts with Lee who doesn't care
- They welcome the French - wave flags/posters - unlike other films we've seen which hate the French
- Younger kids look up to the older ones. e.g. loads of the kids are fascinated by 'Wolf', look up to him and follow him around
- Scene 'Au Revoir' shows a different side to 'Wolf' - he doesn't have many friends
- There focus is on recreating the 'Rambo' movies - they have a strong imagination and quite unrealistic at times unlike the harsh life of a child in Fish Tank
- Children try to behave like adults - Lee's very dependent on himself as his parents aren't around e.g. his postures quite mature, hands in pockets looking confident and when he's in hospital he doesn't want anyone there
- On set the children act like adults with their different roles, acting like adults and coping them
